Minister of Communication was, this morning, the guest of the Redaction on Radio Channel 3. Here are the answers of Mr. Djamel KAOUANE in their exact contents :
- Concerning the ARPE, The Minister clarified that this authority will have to regulate the print media and also the electronic press.
- Institutional advertising is a support to the press, was and still is the survival lever and even interesting enough life for all media.
- Asked whether institutional advertising was a form of pressure, the Minister rejected this false truth and said that institutional advertising has always constituted a support for the press and not any pressure. To support his words, the Minister invited to verify the figures for aid allocated to all public and private securities.
- Mr. Djamel KAOUANE, following the question of the journalist on the debts of public printers, was keen to recall that the paper was supported by the state and also the cost at printing. This is another form of clear support for the Minister.
- The Minister was keen to tell the press that it must rehabilitate the information profession, when things are badly done, it must be said, but when they are well made, it must be said also.
- The Minister said that the Algerian press was in crisis, as is the case of the world press for ten years, because its economic model had become obsolete...
- Concerning the ARAV and the fact that its President had complained of interference, the Minister said that this had occurred under the previous Government, knowing that the ARAV was still in its early stages and needed to be accompanied.
